The Replay brand was started by Claudio Buziol in 1978, by his company named Fashion Box Industries SPA. He was born in 1957 in Crocetta del Montello, near Treviso. His parents were clothing dealers and he owes his talent to his father, who was a tailor. He stared at a very young age to give free play to his creativity producing shirts for his family's shop. He designed shirts he would like to wear but which were not available in the market.
His idea, from the very beginning, was to create clothing reminding to the past but at the same time representing something new and on the cutting edge for that years fashion. He got the inspiration for the word Replay from watching football matches of the worldcup in Argentina on TV.
So he thought that he had found the right trademark to transmit his willing to produce casualwear reinterpreting the '50s American-style with a total design and fabric innovation.
The brand at start specialized in casual shirt-making. Later it specialized in denim and in 1989 Replay reinvented jeans with it's 'double ring denim' and its output reaches a million pairs in just two years. Alongside shirts and jeans the Replay&Sons line dedicated to kids wear is born. Replay opens its store in Milan at the end of 1991 following which sixteen new outlets open. Replay is opening single-brand stores across the globe today. In 2005 Claudio Buziol sadly passed away at the early age of 47. Today the Replay, Replay&Sons and We are Replay fashion brands are sold in over 50 countries covering Europe, the Middle East, Asia, America and Africa. Replay has emerged as one of premier global fashion brands.
