Stone Island is a fashion label which was rooted by Italian designer Massimo Osti in the year 1982. He set this in terms of a secondary line or diffusion assortment of his chief CP company tag. For the next two decades Massimo Osti through his designs would do everything to do with fashion. He termed the brand following the name of his boat. They were the first ones to specialize in exterior handling of fabrics and dyeing practices, which was never previously used in clothing industry. The identity of a stone island garment lies in the compass patch, which buttons on the left upper sleeve. The patches are black edged but originally it was green edged.

Stone Island displays its own brand, not only via the application of evident labels, but also through its selection of an enormous variety of strong colors. By the time their first flagship store opened in London, every firm had Stone Island as a uniform.
